Annual Round Up Campaign Supports Els for Autism Foundation®

Dallas, TEXAS (August 10, 2023) — The 2023 Arcis Golf “Round Up For Els for Autism” campaign has raised more than $130,000 for the Els for Autism Foundation, with donations still coming in from clubs across the country. Els for Autism was founded by professional golfer and World Golf Hall of Famer Ernie Els and his wife, Liezl, and Marvin R. Shanken. The global mission of Els for Autism is to transform the lives of people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and those who care for them through lifetime services and collaborative partnerships.

Arcis Golf’s approximately 70 clubs and courses raised funds by encouraging members and customers to “round up” purchases of merchandise, food and beverage, or green fees to the nearest dollar as a donation to the charity. Many clubs also held special events and tournaments to support the “Round Up” campaign.

In late July, The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge, outside of Seattle, hosted an Els for Autism Golf Challenge regional event that raised an additional $150,000 for Els for Autism.  Financial contributions will be accepted through September 19, 2023, at 3PM EST, either through an Arcis Golf Club or via an https://bit.ly/3Y3gdFF.

Two private Arcis Golf clubs –The Club at Ruby Hill (California) and The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge (Washington)—each donated a full-year golf membership to be bid on at the Foundation’s auction, with all proceeds going to the charity.

Arrowhead Golf Club (Littleton, Colo.) and The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge (Snoqualmie, Wash.) have passed the $15,000 fundraising threshold, which qualifies them to attend the Els For Autism Golf Challenge Grand Finale at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida this October. This event celebrates the top fundraising teams and sponsors of the 2023 Golf Challenge season. Several other Arcis Golf clubs are nearing this milestone.

“Thanks to the generosity of staff, members, and guests at all our clubs, we are proudly supporting a world of limitless possibilities for individuals with autism and their families for the fifth year,” said Blake Walker, Founder and CEO of Arcis Golf. “Ernie, Liezl, and their teams are leading the way improving children’s social, cognitive, and academic results through early intervention programs, furthering the skills of adults to obtain employment, and helping individuals of all ages feel included and welcomed to participate in recreational activities.”

Since forming the partnership, Arcis Golf has donated over a half million dollars to Els for Autism.

Ernie Els said, “By rounding up and engaging both Arcis’ members and guests in this simplest of actions, we can generate funds to make the world a better place for people with autism.” Partnerships with companies like Arcis Golf, says Els, are key to its success.

He is particularly excited by the late August grand opening of the Stoops Family Adult Services Building at The Els Center of Excellence campus in Jupiter, Florida. “This facility is so important for adults with autism and will significantly increase the number of adults served in our adult programs and serves across the globe. “

With over 70,000 youth with ASD turning 18 every year, the increase in the prevalence of ASD combined with an aging ASD population underscores the need for programs and services tailored to individuals with autism transitioning into adulthood. To address these needs and support continued learning, engagement in the community, employment, and a productive and healthy lifestyle, Els for Autism offers a continuum of accessible services based on evidence-based practices to adults with autism across varying levels of support needs.

The “Round Up” initiative and partnership with Els for Autism Foundation is one of the numerous ways Arcis Golf promotes a corporate culture of giving and social responsibility. The company supports dozens of local, regional, and national causes, including education, health care, military, adaptive golf, community programs, and grow-the-game initiatives. “Since the company’s inception, we have been committed to the broader communities we serve,” concluded Walker.

Iconic Grayhawk Golf Club Now Part of Arcis Golf’s 16 Course Arizona Portfolio; Deal Represents Arcis’ 13th Acquisition in Less Than Two Years

Dallas, TEXAS (June 12, 2023) —Arcis Golf—the second largest owner and operator of golf facilities in the United States—has acquired Pacific Life’s golf portfolio, which includes three nationally recognized golf courses: Grayhawk Golf Club (Scottsdale, Arizona), Angel Park Golf Club (Las Vegas, Nevada), and Tijeras Creek Golf Club (Rancho Santa Margarita, California).

This is Arcis Golf’s 13th club acquisition in less than two years. In addition, since 2019, the company has also purchased Dominion Golf Group (5 Private Clubs) and Mickelson Golf Properties (3 Resort/Daily Fee and 3 Private Clubs), and in 2014, 46 properties from CNL Lifestyles Properties. With these new clubs, Arcis Golf has nearly 70 clubs in its portfolio.

“These complementary additions to our irreplaceable portfolio of clubs strengthens our unique value proposition within each of these markets,” said Blake Walker, Founder and CEO of Arcis Golf. “The respective management teams have done an excellent job of creating a truly differentiated offering for their customers. We are privileged and uniquely positioned to continue our collective positive momentum by implementing our family-centric model.”

With this acquisition, Arcis continues to be the fastest growing golf company in the U.S., with Private, Resort, and Daily-Fee properties in the country’s largest metropolitan areas. The Arcis portfolio includes courses designed by many legendary designers—from Jack Nicklaus to Robert Trent Jones Sr., Arnold Palmer, Tom Fazio, and Coore & Crenshaw.

“Through this rare acquisition opportunity, we continue to transform our portfolio of golf clubs into lifestyle hubs that appeal to the entire family with more choices in all areas of their lives. We offer the greatest optionality in terms of price point, membership and subscription offerings, course selection, programming, and amenities to address the wide-ranging needs of our diverse consumer base and provide an open and inclusive experience,” Walker said.

Each of the three signature Daily Fee and Resort properties has a distinctive identity and differentiated offerings.

Grayhawk Golf Club (Scottsdale, Arizona)

Grayhawk Golf Club offers an unforgettable lineup of golf and lifestyle experiences, with the 18-hole Raptor and Talon layouts considered among the best golf courses in Arizona. This acquisition brings Arcis Golf’s presence in the state to 16 clubs.

Notable as a great venue for social, corporate, and charity golf events, Grayhawk is known for hosting top-tier competitive tournaments, including the recently completed NCAA Men’s and Women’s Division I Golf National Championships. Past events have included the Frys.com Open and Andersen Consulting World Championship of Golf on the PGA Tour.

Some of the world’s most revered golf instructors make Grayhawk Golf Club their home base including short-game guru Stan Utley, one of Golf Digest’s 50 Best Teachers, and Andrew Getson, an instructor for several PGA Tour players.

The club’s seven dining experiences are enjoyed by golfers, residents of the nearby Grayhawk community, and the public. In this resort-like setting, Isabella’s Kitchen stands out as a destination dining experience.

Angel Park Golf Club (Las Vegas, Nevada)

An icon of Vegas golf for more than three decades, Angel Park Golf Club has stood the test of time for playability, location, and service. Perched around 3,000 feet in a spectacular desert setting, Angel Park offers stunning views of Red Rock Canyon and the Las Vegas Valley.

The newly renovated Nino’s Grill offers an updated menu and features fun social events, live music, themed dinners, and more, creating a fun atmosphere that extends well beyond the golf course. The club has also been named as one of the “Top 10” golf courses for tournament services by the National Association of Golf Tournament Directors and excels at hosting large and small golf tournaments, conventions, and corporate meetings.

Angel Park is Arcis Golf’s fourth property in the greater Las Vegas area and offers 36 holes designed by Arnold Palmer—the Mountain and Palm courses—plus the lighted Cloud Nine Short course (12 holes) designed by Bob Cupp, as well as the local favorite natural-grass nine-hole putting course.

Tijeras Creek Golf Club (Rancho Santa Margarita, California)

The Ted Robinson-designed Tijeras Creek Golf Club is Arcis Golf’s seventh course in Southern California. Located in Rancho Santa Margarita (Orange County), the course opens with a demanding front nine highlighted by water features. The back nine is legendary for breathtaking scenery and awe-inspiring elevation changes as it winds through old-growth sycamores, oaks, and native chaparrals.

The club’s TJ’s Tap and Table is a popular local hang-out and a community favorite for its Sunday brunch. The patio features large sunshades, a built-in fire pit with seating, and string lights that create a warm and embracing ambiance. The Spanish motif, romantic fountain terrace, and sweeping panoramic views make Tijeras Creek a favored Orange County wedding venue for up to 250 guests.

“We are excited for Grayhawk, Angel Park and Tijeras Creek to join the Arcis Golf family,” Walker said. “These are exceptional clubs. We are grateful for our customers, as well as to our club employees for all their hard work, focus and attention on providing superior service and best-in-class experiences every day.”

Arcis Golf’s acquisition of the three premium Resort and Daily Fee properties also continues to enhance the value of the Arcis Players’ memberships. The company’s intention is to reinvest in these three clubs, with an emphasis on the culinary experiences and course conditioning.

An industry leader in providing inventive programming and unrivaled lifestyle amenities that complement exceptional golf offerings, Arcis Golf has invested approximately $100 million in the past four years on property upgrades, new amenities, personnel, training, and systems to create extraordinary experiences and forge emotional connections with members and guests. The company has received numerous honors, including a National Golf Foundation “2023 Top 100 Businesses in Golf.”

Ocotillo Golf Club

Restaurants, Amenities Inspired by Customer Input

Dallas, TEXAS (June 5, 2023) —Ocotillo Golf Club—one of the most highly regarded, family-centric daily-fee golf clubs in the greater Phoenix area—has placed a new emphasis on neighborhood hospitality, including a refresh of its restaurant and patio dining areas. By doing so, this popular club has fine-tuned its reputation as a welcoming gathering place for residents and golfers.

Arcis Golf, which purchased the facility in 2021 and has since been operating the golf course, recently upgraded and assumed management of the culinary operations. The revitalized, inviting restaurant, which opens onto a spacious outdoor sitting area, is now called Tillo’s Kitchen+Patio and serves breakfast and lunch. Initially, dinner will be available on Friday and Saturday evenings, but soon open on other evenings as well.

Tillo’s Kitchen+Patio is styled after a hip gastro pub, set off by a spacious outdoor patio showcasing the Sonoran desertscape. The pet- and family-friendly patio is roomy and comfortable, with multiple fire pits, soft-seating areas, rocking chairs, and large communal tables. Live entertainment will be featured on a frequent basis.

Among the culinary highlights are the Korean shrimp appetizer (crispy shrimp tossed in house Bulgogi Sauce with fried arbol chilies and fresh lime wedges), the French Dip Burger (signature beef patty topped with roast beef and dipped in house made au jus, topped with sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, and horseradish cream sauce), and pan-seared salmon with a creamy herb polenta and grilled broccolini.

Open all day the restaurant will be the center of dining activity in the community. In the morning, the Starbucks coffee program will bring strong aromas and draw coffee enthusiasts and golfers. Breakfasts include sweet and savory items including egg dishes, nutrient rich bars, and parfaits.

Throughout the day and evening, the menu will allow guests to satisfy cravings with the signature Crushburger menu and a selection of freshly tossed salads and bowls, handcrafted sandwiches, sharable items, fish, and steaks.

The beverage program will revolve around a craft cocktail program and selection of tequilas and mezcals. An array of local beers on tap (Four Peaks, Huss Brewing, and PHX Beer Co.) and by the bottle will complement the offering. Innovative mixologists have developed an entirely new menu with soon-to-be-favorites: Los Cabos Martini (a tequila base, with Cointreau and juices for a smooth finish), Par-Tini, Maricopa Mulligan, and the Water Hazard (rum, lime juice, and club soda).

“We have strategically invested in the greater Phoenix market and at Ocotillo, have focused on providing exceptional culinary options, special events programming, and golf for our customers and the surrounding area,” said Blake Walker, Arcis Golf’s Founder and CEO. “Arcis is committed to providing the finest lifestyle experiences and amenities in the communities we serve.”

Paul Nash, Regional Vice President-Operations, said the renovation was inspired by Ocotillo’s patrons, who wanted to pair their active lifestyle with a local gathering place. “We listened to our customers and these significant improvements will make the clubhouse the go-to destination of the surrounding neighborhood for our guests to eat, drink, and entertain.”

Ocotillo Golf Club has an abundance of lakes, waterfalls, palm trees, and stonework integrated into its clubhouse architecture and throughout the property. These beautiful natural features provide stunning backdrops for special events including bar and bat mitzvahs, graduation parties, quinceañera, holiday gatherings, and of course, exquisite weddings for which Ocotillo is known.

Two outdoor wedding ceremony sites – The Grove (Upper Ceremony Lawn) and Lakeside Palms (Lower Ceremony Lawn) are among the draws for wedding couples. These spaces, coupled with dual wedding lounges, and numerous indoor/outdoor reception areas were factors in the club being recognized by Wedding Wire with the 2023 “Couple’s Choice Award.”
Ocotillo Golf Club’s seasoned staff encourages customers to shape their own events, using preferred vendors of their choosing. This team is well versed in serving a wide variety of ethnic and cultural celebrations from around the world. Ocotillo has the space, staff, and technology to ensure every event is a success.

More upgrades and renovations, planned for this summer, will update the expansive banquet and meeting facilities known as the Overlook Pavilion. Convenient to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Ocotillo has an ideal location for meetings, with boardroom and audio-visual services available.

Along with its exemplary hospitality offerings, Ocotillo boasts 27 holes of golf (Oasis, Valley, Sky) designed by Ted Robinson, Sr. and is cited among Golf Digest’s “Best Places to Play.”

Dallas-based Arcis Golf owns and operates 15 properties in Arizona. The second largest and fastest-growing owner and operator of golf facilities in the United States, Arcis has invested more than $100 million in upgrades, amenities, personnel, training, and systems to make golf and the club lifestyle more accessible at its collection of municipal, daily-fee, private and resort clubs.
