Whether you're new to golf and looking for a solid foundation, or a seasoned player seeking expert refinement, Painted Desert has an instruction program for you. Instructors offer private lessons and group clinics, all set against the club's expansive practice facility — one of the most exceptional learning environments in Nevada. Arcis Players’ Prime and Club members enjoy complimentary weekly game-improvement clinics as a core membership benefit.

Teaching Instructors

Bear Harris, Golf Instructor

A professional golfer and Swing & Player Development Coach with 7 years of instructional experience, Bear began his coaching career at Hammond Golf Academy in Columbus, Ohio, and played collegiate golf at Paine College in Augusta, Georgia. He turned professional in 2021 and has since served as Lead Coach for The First Tee of Northern Nevada, a coach for Nike Junior Golf Camps, and as an instructor and Master Club Fitter at Golf NV and Club Champion in Reno.

Blending science-backed data, the mental game, and natural body movement, Bear is committed to developing elite golfers while continuing to compete at the highest level himself. The oldest of 12 children, he brings humility, discipline, and a player-first mindset to every lesson.
