Golf instruction at The Club at Frisco Farms is designed to help players of all ages and abilities improve their skills and enjoy the game with greater confidence. Through lessons, clinics, and structured programs, golfers can work on swing fundamentals, short-game technique, and on-course strategy with guidance from experienced teaching professionals. The club’s practice facilities and training opportunities provide a supportive environment where beginners can learn the basics while experienced players refine their performance and continue developing their game.

Meet the Coaches

Mike Deaton Director of Instruction

Mike has given over 4,500 private lessons, taught over 2,700 Junior Academy lessons, 800 clinics, and led over 55 junior summer camps in his 20-year career. He has taught all age groups and all aspects of the game. Mike’s philosophy is that practice is always more beneficial and productive when there is a purpose and goal involved. Mike has spent his entire career developing his philosophy of building a swing from the ground up with short-game fundamentals and specific plans for long-term results.

Ross Christy Head Golf Professional

Ross Christy brings over 35 years of experience in the game of golf, including 18 years dedicated to teaching and player development. A former collegiate golfer with more than 15 years of competitive playing experience, Ross combines deep knowledge of the game with a passion for helping others improve. He believes that no two golfers learn the same way and focuses on understanding everyone’s unique learning style to create personalized and effective instruction. His mission is simple: to grow the game by making it more accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding for players of all skill levels.
