A Mesa, Arizona native and 2018 graduate of Coastal Carolina University, Avery has been a PGA Professional since 2019 and holds multiple certifications including Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Golf 2, Power 2, and Junior 2, as well as SuperSpeed Level 1 and US Kids Golf Level 1. Having studied under industry-recognized instructors Martin Chuck, Pia Nilsson, and Lynn Marriott, Avery brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his teaching, utilizing technology from FlightScope, Blast Golf, and leading video software platforms such as V1, CoachNow, and OnForm. After beginning his career at Bear Creek Golf Complex in Chandler and serving as Lead Instructor at Kiawah Island Golf Resort, Avery joined Ocotillo Golf Club as Director of Instruction in the summer of 2023.

With over four decades of success in teaching and club fitting, Gary brings an extraordinary depth of knowledge and global experience to Ocotillo's teaching staff. A respected leader in swing technique, putting methods, and equipment, he has delivered keynote speeches for professional golf associations worldwide and contributed to numerous golf trade and consumer publications. Known for his ability to make complex topics simple and effective for players of all levels, Gary centers his instruction on the principles of balance — a philosophy inspired by George Knudsen that focuses on helping each player find consistency from the first move to the finish, allowing them to take their best swing from the range to the course.

Sean is a PGA teaching professional with 20 years of experience and thousands of lessons to his credit. His personalized approach caters to golfers of all levels, combining fundamental instruction with innovative techniques and a strong emphasis on the mental game, including focus, confidence, and course management. Committed to clear communication and a positive learning environment, Sean goes beyond the technical aspects of the game to foster a lifelong love of golf while helping every student achieve their individual goals on the course.
Recreation Teams: Goal is to develop the necessary skills needed to enjoy the game of golf, giving the player the option in the future to either play the game at the competitive level, or continue enjoying the game recreationally.
Advanced Teams: For players that have made the choice to play the game competitively, these teams focus on the skills needed to play the game under pressure including proper mechanics, course strategy, and the mental game.
Practice Benefits: All members of the AV Junior Academy receive free daily access to the driving range at Ocotillo Golf Club and free walking rounds of golf after 3 PM.
