The Legacy of Onion Creek Country Club

Founded by three-time Masters Champion Jimmy Demaret, Onion Creek Club holds a place in golf history that few clubs can claim: the birthplace of what would become the Champions Tour, where legends like Arnold Palmer and Ben Crenshaw once played long after their prime years, chasing one more great round together. Crenshaw himself would later design Onion Creek's second nine, adding his own mark to a course already steeped in tradition. That legacy of excellence continues today, as Onion Creek Club has evolved into a premier private club with championship golf, racquet sports, aquatics, elevated dining, and a vibrant community, all supported by exceptional Hill Country hospitality.

Over the decades, five Green Jackets have passed through with ties to Onion Creek's heritage, and that history lives on in the memorabilia, photos, and stories that fill our clubhouse today.
