Guest Experience

Where Every Visit Feels Like Home: Exceptional Service and Unmatched Hospitality

From the moment guests arrive at The Dominion, they can expect a seamless day shaped by Hill Country beauty, attentive service, and the freedom to enjoy the club at their own pace. A round on the championship course or time on the tennis and pickleball courts can give way to poolside relaxation, fitness, or wellness, while clubhouse dining, lounges, and social spaces invite guests to linger, connect, and celebrate. Whether visiting for a family day, special event, corporate gathering, or member-hosted round, every detail- from polished facilities and thoughtful staff to the welcoming clubhouse atmosphere- is designed to make the experience feel effortless, elevated, and distinctly Dominion.

Welcome to The Dominion Country Club. For over four decades, this club has been a gathering place for family, friendship, and championship golf set against the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country. Whether you're here for a round on our historic course, a special event, or time with a member, our team is committed to making your visit exceptional in every way. We're glad you're here, and we look forward to showing you why The Dominion is like no other club in San Antonio.

To help plan your visit, here are a few helpful details

Our team is always happy to answer questions or assist with special requests. Whether you’re here for a round, a celebration, or simply good company, we look forward to making your visit exceptional.

Parking and Arrival

Guest parking is located at the club's second entrance.

Bag Drop & Check-In

When you arrive, pull up to our bag drop at the second entrance, and our outside service team will take it from there — your bag will be waiting on a golf cart after checking in.

We recommend arriving about an hour before your tee time — a little earlier if your group is joining us for lunch beforehand. This gives you time to get settled, change, and warm up without feeling rushed.

Note: If you arrive before your member-host, check in at the bag drop and golf shop, and let staff know you're a guest. They'll make sure you're taken care of.

Our staff will have your tee time on file under your member-host's name. It's also a great place to grab anything you may have forgotten — gloves, balls, tees, and more.

The practice range and short game area are available to guests prior to your round. Range balls are complimentary.

Dress Code

We take pride in maintaining a welcoming and polished environment throughout the club. Here's what to plan on:

– On the course: Collared shirts, golf slacks, or tailored golf shorts. No denim, ripped or torn clothing.

– In the clubhouse: The same standard applies. Hats and visors are not permitted / to be removed in all indoor areas.

– Dining room: Collared shirts for men and appropriate dress for women are required. Nice jeans are acceptable (not ripped, torn, tattered, frayed, or dirty). Proper Golf and Tennis attire is acceptable.

– Footwear: Soft spikes or spikeless golf shoes are required on the course. Metal spikes are not permitted.

Note: When in doubt, err on the side of neat and tidy. Our team is happy to help, and the golf shop carries essentials if you need them.

Gratuity & Payments

Your member-host handles guest fees for the round, which typically include greens fees, cart or caddie fees, and food and beverage during the round. We want you to relax and enjoy the experience — not worry about the tab.

If you'd like to make a purchase in the golf shop, we accept both credit cards and cash.

Gratuity is always welcome and appreciated by our team. If you'd like to show your appreciation to outside service staff or our dining team, cash is the easiest way to do so.

Locker Rooms & Clubhouse Access

Guests are welcome to use our men's and women's locker room facilities.

Our clubhouse includes Accessible areas such as dining room, grill, bar and patio all of which are open to guests accompanied by their member-host.

Smoking & Vaping

Permitted in outdoor areas only, away from dining patios and event spaces.

A Few Things Worth Knowing

Our members are passionate about this club, and we think you'll see why. A few things that help everyone have a great experience:

– Pace of play: We take pace seriously. If a hole gets away from you, please pick up and move along — it keeps things enjoyable for everyone on the course.

– Children: Children are welcome in all areas of the club except for the members’ lounge. Junior golfers must be at least 17 years of age to play the course.

Most importantly — welcome. We hope this is the first of many visits, and we look forward to taking great care of you.
