The Legacy of The Pinery Country Club

The Pinery Country Club's story began in the mid-1970s, when architect David Bingham carved three distinct nine-hole courses, Mountain, Lake, and Valley, out of the rolling, pine-covered terrain south of Denver. In doing so, he anchored what would become one of Colorado's original master-planned golf communities. For five decades, that land has shaped the club's identity: dramatic elevation on the Mountain nine, mountain views stretching from Pikes Peak to Longs Peak on the Lake nine, and a links-style test on the Valley nine, all playable in any combination.

Rather than resting on that history, The Pinery has continued to evolve. Most recently, a multi-million-dollar clubhouse transformation opened up the club's social spaces while preserving the natural materials and mountain backdrop that have always defined the property. It's a club built on a genuine sense of place, still being written five decades in.

A Vision in Pines. A Community Built to Last.

The same spirit of evolution carries through the rest of the club today. Golf is still the anchor, with all 27 holes across the Mountain, Lake, and Valley nines supported by a full practice facility, but The Pinery has grown well beyond a golf-only identity. Nine tennis courts, six outdoor and three indoor, keep racquet members playing year-round, while three resort-style pools, complete with a waterslide and diving board, give families a genuine warm-weather hub rather than a single lap pool tacked on as an afterthought.

Add in two restaurants, including the Golfers Grille for casual sports-bar dining, a full calendar of social events, and reciprocal privileges with sister club The Club at Pradera, and the modern Pinery reads less like a golf course with amenities and more like a small, connected community built around them. Five decades after Bingham first laid out the nines, that's still the throughline: a club shaped by its land, refreshed for how members actually want to live today.

Where Kids Learn to Love the Game.

From Junior Sports Camp to junior golf and tennis leagues, kids ages 5 to 12 spend their days moving between the range, the courts, and the pool. It's structured enough to build real skills, relaxed enough to feel like summer.
