Guest Experience

Inspired Play. Elevated Living. Moments to Remember.

From your first turn up the tree-lined drive, Valencia Country Club feels different, gracious, grounded, and unmistakably Californian. The championship course invites every player to engage with the landscape: broad fairways framed by mature trees, strategic water features, and subtle elevation changes that reward thoughtful play. Whether you’re pursuing par or enjoying a relaxed afternoon with friends, each round offers a blend of challenge, beauty, and enjoyment.

Valencia Country Club has always been a place where golf and community come together beautifully. Set against the rolling hills and oak-lined ridges of the Santa Clarita Valley, our Robert Trent Jones, Sr. championship course offers a layout that's both challenging and welcoming for golfers of every level. Beyond the course, our 45,000-square-foot clubhouse serves as the heart of the club, with refined dining, a lively lounge, and a fitness center that keeps our community active and engaged. Whether you're just getting to know Valencia or you've been part of this community for years, every visit is a reminder of why this community feels like home.

To help plan your visit, here are a few helpful details

Our team is always happy to answer questions or assist with special requests. Whether you’re here for a round, a celebration, or simply good company, we look forward to making your visit exceptional.

Parking and Arrival

When you arrive, please let your member-host know, and they can open the gate for you or you can contact the Golf Shop at 661-287-1880.

Parking is available to all guests, except in the designated member parking spots with placard signs.

We recommend arriving about an hour before your tee time — a little earlier if your group is joining us for lunch beforehand. This gives you time to get settled, change, and warm up without feeling rushed.

Note: If you arrive before your member-host, check in at the golf shop and let staff know you're a guest. They'll make sure you're taken care of.

Check-In & Bag Drop

Stop into the golf shop to check in for your round. This is where you or your member-host would pay for the round. Our staff will have your tee time on file under your member-host's name. It's also a great place to grab anything you may have forgotten — gloves, balls, tees, and more.

The practice range and short game area are available to guests prior to your round. Range balls are complimentary.

Dress Code

We take pride in maintaining a welcoming and polished environment throughout the club. Here's what to plan on:

  • On the course: Collared shirts (tucked in), golf slacks or tailored golf shorts. No denim, cargo shorts, or athletic wear.
  • In the clubhouse: The same standard applies. Hats and visors are to be removed in the dining spaces for men. Hats and visors are allowed for ladies in dining spaces.
  • Dining room: Country club casual or golf attire.
  • Footwear: Soft spikes or spikeless golf shoes are required on the course. Metal spikes are not permitted.

Please change into golf shoes in the locker room rather than the parking lot — we have comfortable facilities waiting for you.

Note: When in doubt, err on the side of neat and tidy. Our team is happy to help, and the golf shop carries essentials if you need them.

Gratuity & Payments

If you'd like to make a purchase in the golf shop, we accept credit cards. Food and beverage in the clubhouse can either be signed to the member's account or payable by guests directly with credit cards. Please advise that Apple Pay is not available.

Gratuity is always welcome and appreciated by our team. If you'd like to show your appreciation to outside service staff, or our dining team, cash is the easiest way to do so.

Cell Phones & Photography

We ask that all guests keep phones on silent upon arriving at Valencia Country Club. Phone calls are permitted outdoors. We ask that phones not be used in dining spaces or on the driving range.

Photography on the course and around the property is welcome for personal use. We simply ask that photos or videos intended for publication or social media be tagged at @valenciacountryclub and not include other members or guests without permission.

Locker Rooms & Clubhouse Access

Guests are welcome to use all locker room facilities.

Our clubhouse includes the Members Lounge, Champion’s Grille, Patio, Poker Room, and Cigar Lounge, all of which are open to guests accompanied by their member-host.

Smoking & Vaping

Permitted in outdoor areas only, away from dining patios and event spaces.

A Few Things Worth Knowing

Our members are passionate about this club, and we think you'll see why. A few things that help everyone have a great experience:

  • Pace of play: We take pace seriously. Expected pace of play is 4 hours or less. If a hole gets away from you, please pick up and move along — it keeps things enjoyable for everyone on the course.
  • Golf Course Policies: Please check with the Golf Shop if there are any restrictions on the golf course. [ex: cart path only holes, entrance/exit stakes]
  • Children: Children under 12 are welcome in all areas of the club if accompanied and supervised by an adult. Junior golfers must be at least 16 to play without supervision. Junior golfers must have a valid driver’s license or be accompanied by an adult to drive a golf cart.
  • Pets: No animals are allowed on the course unless they are a service dog.
  • Guest frequency: Individual guests are permitted to play no more than 6 times per calendar year.

Most importantly — welcome. We hope this is the first of many visits, and we look forward to taking great care of you.
