The Course

Premier Golf in the Heart of the Texas Hill Country

Canyon Springs Golf Club's championship layout is one of the most distinctive and celebrated golf courses in the San Antonio area. Named "America's Best New Public Golf Course" by both Golf Digest and Golf Magazine when it opened in 1998, the course was designed by Thomas Walker with the philosophy to let the land lead. The result is a serene 18-hole championship layout that flows through the rolling hills of the Texas Hill Country on fertile land that once served as the Classen family ranch. The course features mature trees framing gently rolling fairways, breathtaking limestone waterfalls, sparkling water features, and an abundance of native flora and fauna — including longhorn steer and wild deer that share the course with players on any given day. An old cemetery adjacent to the course, historic buildings, and stone accents pay quiet tribute to the site's original homestead, giving Canyon Springs a unique depth of character. The course's unique loop design gives each hole its own sense of peaceful seclusion, while five sets of tees on every hole ensure that golfers of all ages and abilities can enjoy this spectacular Hill Country gem. Canyon Springs is Texas golf at its most authentic and most beautiful.
