Just minutes from Augusta, Georgia, Champions Retreat Golf Club is a 27-hole private course born from a historic collaboration between golf legends Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, and Jack Nicklaus. Set across 365 acres of Georgia pines, hardwoods, and serene wetlands along the Savannah River, the course features three distinct nine-hole layouts—Island, Bluff, and Creek—each seamlessly blending championship golf with the natural landscape and reflecting the unique vision of three legends who collectively earned 13 green jackets, 34 major victories, and 159 tournament wins.
The Palmer— Island
The site for the Creek Nine at Champions Retreat offered so many opportunities for a wonderful golf course. The opening four holes play a beautiful wetland area while the remaining holes move upland through native hardwood tress. The ninth dramatically plays over and around a large lake on the right. All level players will finish the nine with a variety of shot-making challenges.
The Nicklaus — Bluff
This is a nice, rolling piece of property with mature pines throughout. Very little dirt has been moved, which means the course fits nicely with the existing terrain and its surroundings. This is the kind of site that provides you the opportunity to design a golf course that on opening day will appear as if it’s been there for 50 years. There is a great deal of variety in the routing, with this nine featuring uphill and downhill shots, as well as a balance of right-to-left and left-to-right holes.
The Player — Creek
The site for the Creek Nine at Champions Retreat offered so many opportunities for a wonderful golf course. Individually accommodating 4 to 8 couples, our cottages allow you to experience true southern hospitality, making your stay the perfect home away from home. Masters Week cottage rentals include daily housekeeping, a complimentary charcuterie board on day of check-in, along with initial cottage stock of snacks, sodas, and juices. (Also included is one bottle of Vodka, Bourbon, Whiskey, or Tequila, and a selection of both wine and beer.)

The Barn at Champions Retreat is not a clubhouse grill. For Masters Week, top chefs from across the country descend on the property to craft a menu built around regional flavors and local favorites, inside a beautifully redesigned barn-inspired space. Our Professional Staff is on hand to make sure that everyone who visits the Golf Shop finds what they desire. We are fully stocked with the most in demand golf fashions and technology. Please allow us to assist you in creating an amazing memory from a truly unforgettable week. Guests of Champions Retreat will receive a $50 merchandise credit for use in the Golf Shop with their Tee Time Package.Merchandise cards will be available for pick up in the Golf Shop daily. Please note: 2027 Masters Week merchandise cards have an expiration date of April 11th, 2027 and are not eligible to be used any time after that date.
