Where Legends Live and Memories Are Made

In the pines outside Augusta, Georgia, there is a club that three of the greatest champions in the history of golf built for themselves and for the few who would follow. Twenty-seven holes, each nine signed by its architect. Fourteen cottages where the day ends steps from where it began. A table that takes Southern cooking as seriously as the game.

Your morning begins on a cottage porch in the Georgia pines. Your round is played on holes designed by champions whose names your foursome grew up on. Your evening runs long: a bourbon, a wood-fired dinner, a story retold behind a hidden stairway door at Three Kings. Champions Retreat is not experienced in an afternoon. It is discovered slowly, over long weekends and lingering dinners, by those fortunate enough to belong here.

A Distinguished Retreat Rooted in Golf Tradition

Built by the Greatest Three. Champions Retreat was born at the 1999 Masters Champions Dinner, when Gary Player invited Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer to join him in creating something the game had never seen: 27 holes carved from 365 acres of Georgia pines and Savannah River bottomland, each nine bearing the unmistakable signature of its architect. Every spring, the world's finest women amateurs open the Augusta National Women's Amateur on these fairways, a reminder that this ground was built for champions and still tests them.

A Complete Lifestyle Experience

Three Nines. Three Legends.
One Extraordinary Club.

Every round at Champions Retreat is a conversation with a champion. Nicklaus rewards precision through the pines. Palmer dares you along the Savannah River. Player charms and challenges through wetlands and hardwoods. Play them in any combination, and no two rounds are ever the same.

 Your Home Away From Home,
Just Steps From the First Tee

Our cottages turn a round of golf into a retreat. Eighty-four rooms across fourteen distinctive cottages put everything within a short walk: the first tee, the practice grounds, and dinner at the Grille House. The day starts with coffee on the porch and ends there with something stronger. Arrive Friday. Leave reluctantly.

Worth the Trip. Worth the Wait.

Some memberships are about proximity. This one is about the place. Champions Retreat draws its members from Augusta, from dozens of states beyond it, and from around the world, because twenty-seven holes built by Nicklaus, Palmer, and Player are not something you find closer to home. Wherever home is.

Champions Retreat offers membership categories designed to fit every stage of life. Full Golf, Young Executive, Limited Golf, National, Corporate, and Junior memberships each provide a distinct path into the retreat experience, whether you are building a career, growing a family, entertaining clients, or introducing the next generation to the game.

"I have played golf all over the country, and nothing compares to walking these fairways knowing Palmer, Nicklaus, and Player designed every hole with their own hands. The food, the cottages, the people — this club does not feel like a membership, it feels like home." — Champions Retreat Member
