Just minutes from Augusta, Georgia, Champions Retreat Golf Club is a 27-hole private course born from a collaboration between golf legends Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, and Jack Nicklaus. Set across 365 acres of Georgia pines, hardwoods, and serene wetlands along the Savannah River, the course features three distinct nine-hole layouts—Island, Bluff, and Creek—each blending championship golf with the natural landscape and reflecting the unique vision of three legends.
The Palmer — Island
The site for the Creek Nine at Champions Retreat offered so many opportunities for a wonderful golf course. The opening four holes play a beautiful wetland area while the remaining holes move upland through native hardwood tress. The ninth dramatically plays over and around a large lake on the right. All level players will finish the nine with a variety of shot-making challenges.
The Nicklaus — Bluff
This is a nice, rolling piece of property with mature pines throughout. Very little dirt has been moved, which means the course fits nicely with the existing terrain and its surroundings. This is the kind of site that provides you the opportunity to design a golf course that on opening day will appear as if it’s been there for 50 years. There is a great deal of variety in the routing, with this nine featuring uphill and downhill shots, as well as a balance of right-to-left and left-to-right holes.
The Player — Creek
The site for the Creek Nine at Champions Retreat offered so many opportunities for a wonderful golf course. All level players will finish the nine with a variety of shot-making challenges.
Champions Retreat Cottages
Stay in one of Champions Retreat’s charming cottages, each accommodating four to eight couples and offering a comfortable home base just minutes from the action. Masters Week cottage rentals include:

Masters Week Culinary Experiences
For Masters Week, top chefs from across the country come to Champions Retreat to craft a menu of regional flavors and local favorites in The Barn, a beautifully redesigned space that offers far more than a traditional clubhouse grill.
Your tee time package includes unlimited buffet service through 4:00 pm.
The Golf Shop
Guests of Champions Retreat receive a $50 merchandise credit for the Golf Shop with their Tee Time Package. Shop in-demand golf apparel, accessories, and technology with the help of our professional staff.
Merchandise cards are available for pickup in the Golf Shop daily and expire April 11, 2027. Cards cannot be used after the expiration date.
