DALLAS, Texas Feb. 21, 2017 –Chip Beck “Mr. 59” is returning to Las Vegas in late February for two days of special appearances at three Arcis Golf facilities – Desert Pines Golf Club, Painted Desert Golf Club and Las Vegas Golf Club. The four-time PGA TOUR champion and three-time Ryder Cup team member will conduct three clinics and a day-long Chip Beck Experience on February 27 and 28.
On Tuesday, February 28, Beck will host an interactive clinic at 11:00am at Desert Pines Golf Club, which will be followed by a four-person scramble event. Beck will pose for photos with his Ryder Cup trophy and, during a dinner, regale participants with tales from his days on the professional tours. The full day event is $59 per person (includes clinic, tournament and dinner). Space is limited. Reservations are required by either calling 702/388-4400 or by registering online at www.chipbeckevents.com.
On Monday, February 27, Beck will host three golf clinics, free of charge to all Arcis Players’ Club members and Arcis Players’ Cardholders, at:
Las Vegas Golf Club (9:00am – 10:30am)
Painted Desert Golf Course (1:00pm – 2:30pm)
Desert Pines Golf Club (4pm – 5:30pm)
Reservations are also required to participate in these three clinics and can be made by calling the clubs to sign-up. Enrollment in any of the Arcis Golf player programs can must be completed prior to or on-site the day of the clinics to secure participation in the clinics.
“At Arcis Golf, we are committed to providing unrivaled programming to actively engage our customers,” said Chris Crocker, Chief Marketing Officer, Arcis Golf. “By partnering with Chip, one of the game’s most successful competitors, we’re bringing a fun and entertaining perspective to our Las Vegas clientele. These events with Chip give our patrons once-in-a-lifetime access to an incredible professional and provide an extraordinary memorable experience.”
Shooting 59 for an 18-hole-round of golf is still a rare feat, no matter how technologically advanced the equipment and ball have become. When Beck did it in1991—during the third round of the Las Vegas Invitational—he was only the second player ever to shoot 59 in a PGA TOUR tournament.
Desert Pines is located only 15 minutes from the Las Vegas strip yet feels worlds away. The award-winning Pete Dye design is reminiscent of the Carolinas, with more than 4,000 mature pine trees lining the fairways and bunkers protecting the large, undulating, bent grass greens. For practice aficionados, the two-tiered, climate-controlled practice facility has 56 hitting bays protected from rain and direct sunlight. It’s the only one of its kind in the area and recently underwent refurbishment of hitting surfaces, installation of new audio and video systems, and exterior updates.
