DALLAS, Texas Feb. 14, 2017 — The Ring of Honor Kitchen and Bar, the gastropub at Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine, Texas and part of the Arcis Golf portfolio of clubs, has earned second place (most improved public) in the annual, international Golden Fork Awards competition.
Editors of Golf Inc. judged entries from golf clubs and courses worldwide based on criteria that included guest satisfaction, aesthetics, service, menus, and capital improvements, as well as improvements in revenue and traffic. The list of winners and accompanying stories appear in the January/February issue of this trade periodical.
The Ring of Honor Kitchen and Bar is the centerpiece of last year’s clubhouse expansion at Cowboys Golf Club, the only National Football League-themed golf club in the world. While paying homage to the beloved Cowboys legends who are members of the team’s official Ring of Honor at AT&T Stadium, the expansive restaurant-bar delights food aficionados and football fans alike.
In a vibrant, interactive experience, the restaurant showcases original artwork depicting great moments in Dallas Cowboys history and team memorabilia. This experiential dining establishment features a lively bar offering a selection of artisanal cocktails, along with a rotation of a dozen Dallas craft beers, and an international wine menu chosen to complement the “right off the ranch” selections.
The $2.4 million project features a chef-driven kitchen with a wide variety of Texas-inspired menu items, including Dr. Pepper-marinated deep-fried spare ribs, chorizo-and-onion-jelly-topped deviled eggs, and blackened red fish.
Outside the restaurant is “Five Points Patio,” named in honor of the iconic star on the Cowboys’ helmets, offering an additional 2,000 square feet of outdoor covered dining space – equipped with misters and heaters. Guests on the patio have a view of a dramatic waterfall and a floor-to-ceiling, wood-burning stone fireplace.
Cowboys Golf Club is an all-inclusive, world-class facility open to the public for golf, dining, hospitality, and private events ranging from weddings and golf tournaments to corporate outings. The golf course, which debuted in June 2001, was designed by award-winning architect Jeff Brauer on a natural setting of 159 pristine acres, 30 minutes from downtown Dallas.
